Sizzix machine: why isn't it working right?
I just got a Sizzix machine, and we were trying it out, but when we put the paper in between the die and the cutting pad as it says to, the die cut into both the paper and the cutting pad plastic. I don't think that was supposed to happen. What was I doing wrong? Has this happened to anyone else?? Help!
I don't have a Sizzix machine, but I do have the Cuttlebug. This happens with the Cuttlebug too. When I first used my Cuttlebug, I freaked out about it, but I went to a craft store where they had demonstrated it and their cutting pad had been cut into from the machine too. So, to my relief, there was nothing wrong. I'm betting it's the same with the Sizzix machine. They sell replacement cutting mats for the machine, so it sounds to me like your machine is working right.

Just to be sure (since I am inexperienced with that type of machine), I would call a specialty scrapbook store or a large craft store and ask them about it.
