how do i replace a super starter on a 98 buick regal ls?

Looks pretty straight forward from the gm service information web site. Disconnect the battery. Jack up the car and put on jack stands. remove the torque converter cover(black plastic shield held on by two or three 10mm screws), unbolt the started. remove the electrical connections. It doens't mention anything about removing the ac compressor or anything. I know on my 95 regal I have to remove the ac compressor to get the starter out. I'm not saying you have to do this on your car but there is a chance the starter will not have enough room to swing out and down.
