Transfer Tape
Is there something I can buy to transfer video tape movies to a dvd disc?
I have a bunch of Tae Bo Workout Videos that really work for me and I want to transfer them into dvd's cuz I don't have a VCR anymore like most of America? Anyone know?
Several ways. The easiest is to buy a combination VCR/DVD recorder ($200 & up) which allows you to transfer in either direction. Crude and basic, but easy and reliable.
If you already have a VCR, then simply buying a DVD recorder (available for around $100, cheap ones for even less) will accomplish the same thing. You'll simply need to connect the VCR outputs to the DVD inputs.
Of course, in both cases, the DVD output needs to go to your TV so you can see what you're doing. Hit record on the DVD recorder, hit play on the VCR and wait until the end. Finalize the DVD (under disc management in the menu) and you're all set.
